1. Avalon Town Center, Orlando, FL. A four story, 100,000 sf retail and apartment building, part of a new town to be located southeast of Orlando. 2. Westgate Town Center, Kissimmee, three 7-story precast and post-tensioned building, totaling over 250,000 square feet and costing approximately $60,000,000. 3. Comfort Inn on Sand Lake Blvd, Orlando, FL. A six-story, 112-unit masonry and hollow-core panel in one of Orlando’s busiest tourist centers.
4. Hampton Inn, Lady Lake, FL. A three story 100-unit building constructed of Precast, aerated, autoclaved concrete unts (PAAC) for walls and slabs. Contact Mr. Mark Whitman, Florida Design Professionals, Orlando, FL.

1. Bonita Springs Water Treatment Plant (WTP), Bonita Springs, FL Approx. cost $7M.
2. Cayman Water Authority Sewage Treatment Plant (WWTP), Grand Cayman Islands. Approx. cost $12.5M to enter construction fall of 2002. Contact Mr. Paul Gandy, Globaltech, Inc.
3. Florida City WTP, Florida City, FL. This plant provides water to all of Monroe County and the Florida Keyes. Approx. cost $15M.
4. Birmingham WWTP, Birmingham, AL. Approx. cost $20M.
5. Louisville WWTP, Louisville, KY. Provided structural design and coordination with minority architects, and office coordination of services during construction. This $20M plant was completed on time and with only 0.5% of change orders during construction.
6. Fayetteville WWTP, Fayetteville, AR. A $20M sister plant to the Louisville design, this project suffered through the bankruptcy of the General Contractors, but still completed within the budget.
7. Morristown WWTP, Morristown, NJ. Responsible for all structural and architectural design. Approx. cost $30M
8. Seven Springs WWTP, Aloha, FL. Approx. cost $2M
9. Key West WWTP, Key West, FL. Approx. cost $40M.

1. Halifax Medical Center, Daytona Beach, FL 1994 major expansion to emergency and surgery wings. Reviewed by ACHA

3. Orlando Regional Medical Center, 1992 major expansion to patient care rooms, kitchens, entrances and surgical centers, Orlando, FL.
4. Florida Hospital Medical Office Building, 3-story office and day-patient care center, Altamonte Springs, FL
5. Florida Cardiology Medical Mall, renovation of existing supermarket into offices, laboratories, and patient rooms, adding a second floor to existing structure. Orlando, FL

Key Projects: Entertainment Industry Projects:

1. 350 Seat “Dailies” Theater, Disney World, Kissimmee, FL. This project was a “fast-track” design with the structural steel being designed while the foundations were being built. The architect was PVK, Inc. Contact Mr. Phil Von Kamecke, Principal.
2. Special Effects Gallery, Disney-MGM Studios, Kissimmee, FL. Renovations to a major attraction with the existing roof of the “guest viewing gallery” to be raised 4 feet and re-used.
3. Front Gate Renovations, Sea World of Florida, Orlando, FL, Eleven buildings were either designed or upgraded in this major re-theming of the front part of the park. Design was coordinated with the architectural firm of PGAV of St. Louis, Mo. Contact Mr. Tim Schwering, Architect in charge.
4. Atlantis Theater lakeside backdrop for ski show. Sea World of Florida, Orlando, FL This is an ongoing project as SWF tends to re-design their productions every year or so. The structure is a billboard like placard standing 30 feet tall by 120 feet long in the middle of the Atlantis lagoon.
5. Splendid China of Florida, Kissimmee, FL. This 120-acre theme park is based on the art and architecture and cultures of the People’s Republic of China. Interfaced directly with the Chinese architects, engineers and craftsman through an interpreter. Assimilated modern American methods and construction into the traditional Chinese design.
6. New York City Scape of Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Polish Consulate, the Guggenheim Museum and Empire State Buildings. These are two- dimensional billboards mounted on 24- to 36-inch pipe columns climbing to 85 feet in height. The three dimensional effect of the street scene is attained by stepping the billboards and art work makes the flat panel look like the round Guggenheim.
7. Universal Studios, studio stores and special effects for various projects, mainly through MRI Architectural Group, Orlando, FL. Contact Mr. Peter Ikegami, Principal.
8. Outdoor Grand Ole Opry Stage, Silver Springs, FL. Architect was D.P. King and Associates, Ocala, FL. Contact Mr. David King, Principal
9. Orange County Convention Center, Phase III, $180M. Responsible for design of the meeting and lecture halls with HHCP Architects, Orlando, FL. Contact Mr. John Bailes.
10. The Wedding Chapel at Disney World, Kissimmee, FL.
11. Whale and Dolphin Lifts for Aqua-Draulics of Florida at Sea World and Disney. These are hydraulically operated fiberglass platforms used for the medical inspections of the marine animals.

1. State Penitentiary, Marietta, FL – new multi-building campus housing inmates, kitchens and recreational facilities for trustees.

1. Maitland Professional Center Offices and Warehouse. Three tilt-wall panel and steel framed buildings comprising over 100,000 square feet. MRI Architectural Group.
2. Sibley Insurance Company Building. A two-story tilt-wall panel building with steel framing. 10,000 square feet per floot. MRI Architectural Group.
3. Florida Hospital Medical Office Building, 3-Story office and day-patient care center, Altamonte Springs, FL.
4. West Orange Medical Center, 2-story office and patient care facility, Ocoee, FL. Contact Mr. Mark Whitman, Florida Design Professionals.
5. Hewlett Packard Company, 7 building office and manufacturing campus, each building costing approx. $25M, in Boise, ID. Additionally, provided design for an automated storage and retrieval building in which the storage racks acted as the main structural supports also, allowing the building to be written off as machinery equipment.
6. La Palma Office Building, a four story, steel framed office building in MetroWest, Orlando, FL. The skin of the building provides the lateral resistance and is constructed of light-gage steel and concrete composite panels. Contact Mr. Peter Ikegami, MRI Architectural Group.
7. VA Co-Location Administration Building, Bay Pines, FL

Key Projects: Industrial Projects:

1. Engelhard Corporation Grass Roots Catalyst Cracking Plant, Atapulgus, GA. This plant received mined clay and broke it down into its base minerals, mainly silica, potassium, and calcium for further uses. Featured were three 200-ton product holding tanks supported on the third floor of this 135 foot high mill-type building.
2. Reichhold Resin Product Plant, Pensacola, FL. Plant produced resin products from wood by-products such as tree bark from lumber mills.
3. Hewlett Packard Company, 7 building office and manufacturing plant campus in Boise, ID. Campus was responsible for research and development of new products as well as the manufacture of medical office equipment. Each two-story building had approximately 60,000 square feet per floor. Also for Hewlett Packard, various manufacturing and product line equipment supports and structural modifications.
4. Johns Manville Plastics Manufacturing Plant, Eureka, Ca. Various manufacturing and product line equipment supports and structural modifications.

Key Projects: Commercial Projects:

1. 20+ Walgreens Drug Stores throughout Florida. 10,000 square foot masonry and steel framed one-story buildings.
2. 30+ Sonny’s Bar B Que Restaurants throughout South East. 7,500 square foot masonry and wood truss one-story buildings.
3. 10+ AmSouth Banks throughout Florida. 6,000 square foot light-gage steel framed with wood trusses.
4. 10+ AleHouse Restaurants throughout Florida. 9,000 square foot, one-story masonry and bar joist buildings.
5. 15+ Winn Dixie’s and Publix Supermarkets and related retail shops. Each anchor store was approximately 40,000 square feet. The adjacent retail shop areas varied from 7,000 to 60,000 square feet. All were masonry with steel framing and bar joists.
6. MetroWest Shopping Plaza. Approximately 20,000 square foot steel frame and bar joist structure. The lateral load bearing wall panels were constructed of composite light-gage steel and concrete.
7. Many other one- and two-story 20,000-50,000 square foot masonry, steel frame and bar joist shopping centers and plazas.
